Daniel F. Maheney Memorial Scholarship Fund

Important Reminder About Designating Your Cornell Annual Fund Gifts

Cornell will soon be contacting most of you for contributions to the Cornell Annual Fund

I just want to share a reminder that those of you who are inclined may designate a portion of your donations to the Cornell Annual Fund toward the Daniel F. Mahaney Memorial Scholarship Fund. Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a Cornell undergraduate student who has devoted himself/herself to the kinds of volunteer activities with the university unions that were so important to Dan during his undergraduate years.

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR YOU TO CONTRIBUTE ANY ADDITIONAL MONEY TO CORNELL, merely a reminder that you may want to designate a portion of your Cornell donation to the scholarship in Dan's memory.

To do so, simply indicate on the annual fund reply card that you want all or a portion of your contribution to Cornell this year be applied toward the Daniel Mahaney Scholarship. On the blank line in front of the words "In addition, I would like to support," you should insert the dollar amount that you want to go toward Dan's memorial scholarship; on the blank line below those words, you should insert "Daniel Mahaney Scholarship Fund."

If you instead make your Cornell Annual Fund donation by phone, simply let the phone-a-thon caller know how much of your contribution you want specifically allocated to Dan's memorial scholarship.

Thanks to all of you who have supported this scholarship in Dan's memory over the years and to all who do so now and in the future.
