memorial service for Dolly

Dear Brothers,

On Tuesday, April 13, at 5:25 p.m., our beloved brother, Adolphus Cunningham Hailstork, passed away at the age of 94. As most of you know, Dolly was a unique human being, loved by every soul that he touched. He had been in a nursing home for the last four months, his health had been deteriorating and he passed comfortably. A special thanks goes out to John (Haggs) Haggerty who visited Dolly quite often and was with him until the end.

Dolly: 1915-2010

We will be holding a service for Dolly in Ithaca on May 1 during Sigma Pi Alumni Weekend. This will be a great time to celebrate Dolly's life and reminisce about life in the house while getting a chance to meet the new brotherhood. The schedule for Saturday, May 1, is as follows:

1:00-3:00 p.m. Calling hours at Bangs Funeral Home
(209 West Green St.)
5:00 p.m. Assemble at Sigma Pi for cocktail hour
6:00 p.m. Dolly Memorial Service
7:30ish Buffet dinner

Other events at the house during Alumni Weekend include:
Friday, April 30
12:00–2:00 p.m. Alumni-brother lunch
2:30–5:00 p.m. Choice of Cornell baseball game against Princeton (2nd game in doubleheader) or sign up to play golf, basketball, poker, or tennis with brothers
6:00–6:45 p.m. Cocktails
6:45–7:30 p.m. Formal dinner
7:30–8:00 p.m. Performance by Nothing But Treble a capella group

Saturday, May 1
11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Barbecue lunch at the house
2:30–5:00 p.m. Wine tour

Sunday, May 2
10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Walk-in open brunch

If you plan to attend, please e-mail me so we can plan accordingly. Also, let me know if you would like to stay in the house; there is some room.
